Peter Lockard Reviews His Year in Office
It was a great year for me and as I have said many times before, a great honour to Captain this great golf society. From the first outing at Mount Ober to my Captains weekend at Roganstown Golf Club and Castleknock Hotel & Country Club it has been a great experience.

The first Major of the Year went to Andrew Lockard. Andrew won The Presidents Day Trophy at Ballycastle Golf Club in May. In the absence of Society President George Anderson, Andrew was presented with his trophy by Vice President Trevor Geddis.

Sunday 1st June at Carnalea Golf Club saw two more of the Society’s Trophies find a new home. Both the Matchplay Championship and the Matchplay Plate were contested.
The second Major, the Matchplay Championship was won by Davey Speers, beating Ronnie Geddis.
The Match Playplate competition was also contested at Carnalea Golf Club with Ian Carser beating Yours Truely.

Sunday 1st June at Carnalea Golf Club also saw two more of the Society’s Trophies find a new home. Andrew Lockard secured the Golfer of The Year with 216 points and Maurice Brown secured the Senior Golfer of The Year award with 214 points (also finnishing second overall).
