Update from the Secretary - Phil Gilmore

Subs are now due for the 2007/2008 year.

All members from last year will be given the opportunity to re-join, up to 2 September 2007.

The sub for 2007/2008 will (again) be £20!

The Society will be visiting four new courses this year and will also be returning to old favorites such as Kirkistown Castle G.C and Mourne G.C. Whitehead G.C, Lurgan GC, Clandeboye GC and Ballycastle GC are the new courses to the society’s itinerary and this will bring the total number of different courses played to 78.

Other highlights for this year will be the annual Matchplay Competition to be defended by Robin Mitchell, the final in 2008 is scheduled to be played at Carnalea G.C on 3 June. President’s Day will be played at Ballycastle GC which is magnificent. The ‘Golfer of the Year Trophy’ will be defended by Stevie Richer and of course there will be ‘Captain’s Weekend’ at the end of July which will take us for the first time to Cork!

The New captain - Peter Lockard addresses the Society at McBrides for the first time. Before presenting the prizes from his first outing as Captain at Mount Ober Golf Club, the Captian welcomed a number of new members.

He stated "you have joined a very friendly and well organised Golf Society, I hope that you will enjoy your time with us during this season".
