Hello and Welcome

Our website charts the history of the society as well as giving the current members the information they need to keep the Society moving forward and developing further. The Society has now played 78 different golf courses in the British Isles and we are scheduled to reach the 100th by our 20th year.

We have well established Matchplay competitions, a full itinerary of outings and the highlight of the year, CAPTAIN’S WEEKEND. You can read about and see the places we have travelled to for our Captain’s Weekends within the website.

Scrabo man Peter Lockard has taken over the reigns as Captain of McBrides Golf Society for the incoming season. Peter's first duty was to announce David Moreland as his Vice Captain.

" I am both honoured and delighted to take on the role of Captain of McBride's Golf Society for this season. I look forward to playing a number of new courses as well as returning to some of our old favorites. I would like to take the opportunity to welcome a number of new members to the society and wish both current and new members the best of luck for the season."

Captains Announcements

The next outing is Captains Weekend at Castleknock Hotel and Country Club, Dublin on the weekend of 19th July 2008. I look forward to seeing all those going in Comber square at 7.30am on the Saturday morning.  

For those not attending I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the golfers that supported my year as Captain of the Society, I have had a great year and wish the incoming Captian - David Moreland all the the best.
